Answer from 2025 FDD Document

In no event shall any Franchised Business be opened unless and until a Franchise Agreement for such Franchised Business has been fully executed and the initial franchise fee for such Franchised Business has been paid in full.

You acknowledge and agree that you will not open the Franchised Business without our written authorization and that authorization to open shall be conditioned upon your strict compliance with this Agreement.

Subject to your compliance with the conditions stated below, you shall open the Restaurant and commence business within six (6) months after the location for the Restaurant has been accepted by us, unless you obtain an extension of such time period from us in writing. If you have signed a Franchise Agreement for a Food Truck, you must commence business within nine (9) months after signing the Franchise Agreement. You agree to open the Franchised Business within three (3) days after our notification to you that the Franchised Business is ready to be opened. The date the Franchised Business actually opens for business to the public is herein called the "Opening Date". Prior to opening, you shall complete all exterior and interior preparations for the Franchised Business, including installation of equipment, fixtures, furnishings and signs, pursuant to the plans and specifications reasonably approved by us, and shall comply with all of your other pre-opening obligations, including, but not limited to, those obligations described in Sections 6.2 through 6.7, to our reasonable satisfaction. If you fail to reasonably comply with any of such obligations, except for delay caused by a force majeure act as described in Section 17.1.3(e), we shall have the right to prohibit you from commencing business.

Prior to opening the Franchised Business, and before any renovation to the Franchised Business, you shall certify in writing to us that the Franchised Business and any proposed renovations comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

Furthermore, the franchisee must receive written authorization from Bb.Q Chicken to open the Franchised Business, which is contingent upon strict compliance with the Franchise Agreement.

Before opening, the franchisee is required to complete all exterior and interior preparations, including the installation of equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and signs, according to the plans and specifications approved by Bb.Q Chicken. The franchisee must also comply with all other pre-opening obligations to Bb.Q Chicken's reasonable satisfaction, as outlined in Sections 6.2 through 6.7 of the agreement.
