What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bb.Q Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a prospective franchisee must locate a site for their restaurant within 60 days of signing the Franchise Agreement that adheres to Bb.Q Chicken's site evaluation guidelines, as outlined in Section 5.1. The franchisee must then submit a description of the site, along with evidence that the site meets these guidelines. This submission should also include a letter of intent or other evidence that confirms the franchisee's favorable prospects for obtaining the site. Bb.Q Chicken then has 30 days to approve or disapprove the proposed site.
Bb.Q Chicken's approval of a location does not act as a warranty or guarantee of success or profitability at that location; it only signifies that the location meets the minimum criteria for a Bb.Q Chicken Restaurant at that time. The franchisee is required to provide Bb.Q Chicken with a copy of the signed lease for the restaurant location within 90 days after signing the Franchise Agreement. Failure to provide the signed lease within this timeframe may result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement.
In summary, while the FDD excerpt specifies the process for site selection and lease submission, it does not explicitly state any specific conditions that the lease itself must contain to be approved by Bb.Q Chicken. Instead, it emphasizes adherence to site evaluation guidelines and timely submission of the lease document.
