What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may incur a Transfer Fee under specific circumstances related to the transfer or change in affiliation of a Chain Facility.
The Transfer Fee applies if the franchise involves the transfer of an existing Chain Facility to the franchisee. It also applies when changing the affiliation of the Facility from one Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc.-owned franchise or membership system to another. This fee is intended to cover Baymont Inn Suites's costs associated with processing the transfer or affiliation change.
The FDD specifies that the Transfer Fee will be outlined in the applicable Service Offering. Franchisees should review the Service Offering carefully to understand the amount and terms of the Transfer Fee. It is important to note that transfer fees are collectable only to the extent that they reflect the franchisor's reasonable estimated or actual costs in effecting a transfer.
