What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no minimum Protected Territory offered to franchisees. The Protected Territory is negotiated between Baymont Inn Suites and the franchisee before the Franchise Agreement is signed.

The negotiations for the Protected Territory will consider factors such as the market (urban, suburban, or rural), population density, demographics, natural travel boundaries, and public and private facilities that generate lodging demand. These facilities include airports, highways, sports venues, colleges, military bases, tourist attractions, hospitals, shopping malls, and commercial activities. The seasonal nature of occupancy and weekend versus weekday occupancy are also considered.

The Protected Territory may be defined as a radius from the facility or an irregular area bound by highways, streets, governmental boundaries, natural boundaries, or by latitude and longitude. The specific details of the Protected Territory will be outlined in Section 2 of the Franchise Agreement. While Baymont Inn Suites grants a Protected Territory, it may also grant overlapping Protected Territories to other Chain Facilities.
