What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have the option to implement their own local advertising at their own expense. Baymont Inn Suites retains control over brand consistency, requiring that all advertising materials use the brand's marks correctly and comply with system standards. Franchisees must receive written approval from Baymont Inn Suites prior to publishing any advertising materials. Baymont Inn Suites also reserves the right to request franchisees to discontinue using any advertising materials that are non-conforming, outdated, or misleading.
This policy allows Baymont Inn Suites franchisees to tailor their marketing efforts to their specific local market while ensuring that the brand image remains consistent across all locations. By requiring approval of advertising materials, Baymont Inn Suites can maintain quality control and prevent any misleading or inaccurate representations of the brand.
While franchisees bear the cost of their local advertising initiatives, they also benefit from the flexibility to target their specific customer base and promote their individual location. This can be particularly advantageous for franchisees in areas with unique demographics or local events that may not be addressed by national marketing campaigns. However, franchisees must carefully manage their advertising expenses and ensure that their materials align with Baymont Inn Suites's standards to avoid any potential conflicts or disapproval.
