What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, both the franchisee (or a person with executive authority if the franchisee is an entity) and the Facility's general manager (or other representative who exercises day-to-day operational authority) are required to attend the training programs that Baymont Inn Suites designates as mandatory. The franchisee is also responsible for ensuring that all Facility personnel are trained as required by the System Standards and the Franchise Agreement.
Baymont Inn Suites also provides remedial training. Baymont Inn Suites may require the franchisee, their general manager, and/or their staff to participate in remedial training if the Facility does not meet required quality assurance standards or receives significant customer complaints. This training can be offered through a web-based platform, in person, at corporate offices, a regional location, or at the Facility itself.
The franchisee is responsible for covering all expenses associated with training, including travel, lodging, meals, and compensation for the individuals attending the programs. This also extends to the cost of training materials and any other reasonable charges imposed by Baymont Inn Suites for the training. If training is conducted at the Facility, the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel, lodging, meal, and facility and equipment rental expenses of Baymont Inn Suites's representatives.
Baymont Inn Suites also offers ongoing training and support through Wyndham University, a learning management system accessible to the franchisee and their staff. The franchisee must subscribe to this system and pay an annual fee for access to live workshops, e-learning modules, webinars, online courses, videos, and other educational resources. General managers are required to complete recertification training at intervals established in the System Standards Manual, and the franchisee must pay the tuition for this program.
