What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Baymont Inn Suites has the right to audit a franchisee's financial records remotely or electronically. Specifically, Baymont Inn Suites may conduct such audits without providing advance notice to the franchisee or requiring the franchisee's knowledge.
As a Baymont Inn Suites franchisee, you are obligated to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded in accounting books and records, following accrual basis compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). These records must also align with the most recent edition of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry. Accurate and timely reporting of Gross Room Revenues is a material obligation under the franchise agreement.
Furthermore, the franchisee and their staff must cooperate with and assist Baymont Inn Suites's auditors in performing any audit, whether it is conducted on-site or remotely.
