What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all prospective franchisees must submit a Franchise Application for review, along with a non-refundable Application Fee of $2,500. This fee is required when the application is submitted. If Baymont Inn Suites approves the Franchise Application, they will credit the Application Fee towards the Initial Fee.
For franchisees who are transferring their existing franchise agreement to an affiliated entity through an Administrative Assignment, the non-refundable administrative Relicense Fee is $5,000, which includes the Application Fee. If the Franchise Agreement is being assigned to a financial institution or a court-appointed receiver, with consent from Baymont Inn Suites, the non-refundable administrative Relicense Fee is $7,500, and includes the Application Fee.
It is important to note that the Application Fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether the application is approved or not. This is a standard practice in franchising, as the franchisor incurs costs in reviewing and processing applications. Prospective franchisees should factor this fee into their initial investment considerations. Baymont Inn Suites may negotiate the amount and payment terms of any of the fees when business circumstances warrant.
