What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, when a franchisee submits improvement plans for approval, Baymont Inn Suites is allotted a 10-day review period for each submission. The FDD specifies that this review is focused on ensuring compliance with the System Standards, rather than identifying potential errors or omissions in the work of the franchisee's architects, engineers, or contractors.

This 10-day review period is a defined timeframe that franchisees can expect when planning and scheduling their improvement obligations. However, the FDD also states that Baymont Inn Suites will not unreasonably withhold or delay approval of the plans. This suggests that while Baymont Inn Suites has a set review period, they are expected to process the plans efficiently and avoid unnecessary delays.

It is important to note that the review conducted by Baymont Inn Suites does not cover technical, architectural, or engineering aspects of the existing structure, nor does it ensure compliance with laws, regulations, or code requirements. These responsibilities fall to the franchisee's architect. Additionally, any significant changes to the approved plans necessitate prior written approval from Baymont Inn Suites.
