What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, the Lodging Affiliates of Baymont Inn Suites do not own or operate any lodging facilities. Baymont Franchise Systems, Inc., the franchisor, also does not own or operate any Chain Facilities. Baymont Inn Suites focuses solely on franchising and supporting its Baymont Inn & Suites and Baymont® by Wyndham guest lodging facilities.
This separation between franchising and direct operation can be beneficial for franchisees. It means Baymont Inn Suites is primarily focused on supporting its franchisees' success rather than competing with them through company-owned locations. This model is common in franchising, as it aligns the franchisor's interests with the franchisees' profitability and growth.
Prospective franchisees should still conduct thorough due diligence to understand the full scope of the relationship with Baymont Inn Suites and its affiliates. While the Lodging Affiliates do not own or operate lodging facilities, they may provide other services or support to franchisees, as indicated in Item 5 and 8 of the FDD. Understanding the roles and responsibilities of each entity within the Baymont Inn Suites network is crucial for making an informed investment decision.
