What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you, your general manager, or additional staff members attend the Hospitality Management Program, you are responsible for covering travel, lodging, meals, incidental expenses, compensation, and benefits, in addition to the tuition fees, for any in-person components of the training. The Hospitality Management Program may be held in a hybrid format, involving both in-person and virtual components, or in a virtual-only format.

Baymont Inn Suites offers general manager certification training in its Hospitality Management Program, which covers topics such as operating a Chain Facility, marketing and sales, financial management, guest services, and people management. The initial general manager must complete this program within 90 days of the Opening Date, and any replacement general manager must complete it within 90 days of assuming the position. If a general manager or other employee besides the initial general manager attends the training, you must pay an Additional Attendee Fee, currently $1,400, in addition to the general manager's tuition.

Baymont Inn Suites may also offer "refresher" training for your general manager or additional staff members who complete the training program with your general manager, for which they may charge full or discounted tuition. Franchisees should budget not only for the tuition, but also for all associated travel and personnel costs to ensure adequate training and compliance with Baymont Inn Suites's standards.
