System Standards means the standards for participating in the Chain and using the System published in the System Standards Manual, or elsewhere, including but not limited to Design Standards, FF&E Standards, Marks Standards, Marketing Standards, Operations Standards, Technology Standards and Maintenance Standards and any other standards, policies, rules and procedures we promulgate about System operation and usage.
System Standards Manual means the Standards of Operation and Design Manual and any other manual or written directive or other communication we issue or distribute specifying the System Standards.

The System Standards Manual is defined as the Standards of Operation and Design Manual, along with any other written directives or communications issued by Baymont Inn Suites that specify these System Standards.
Furthermore, if a franchisee is required to renovate their facility according to Baymont Inn Suites's Prototype Plans, they must have an architect electronically accept a Prototype Plans Agreement. The franchisee's architect will then create construction documents based on the Prototype Plans, System Standards, and the franchise agreement. These documents must be submitted for Baymont Inn Suites's approval before any demolition or improvements begin. Approved Plans must incorporate design elements as set forth in System Standards. If a franchisee chooses to purchase certain design items from a supplier other than an Approved Supplier, Baymont Inn Suites may charge a Custom Interior Design Review Fee, currently $6,000, for review of custom interior design drawings to ensure compliance with interior design standards.
