What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Baymont Inn Suites Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can terminate the agreement without cause at any time after ninety days from the commencement date. To do so, the franchisee must provide Baymont Inn Suites with at least thirty days' prior written notice of termination.

This means that a Baymont Inn Suites franchisee is not locked into the agreement indefinitely after signing. However, this option to terminate without cause is only available after an initial waiting period of 90 days from when the franchise agreement began.

It's important to note that while the franchisee has the option to terminate without cause, Baymont Inn Suites also has a similar right. Baymont Inn Suites can terminate the agreement without cause by providing the franchisee with at least sixty days' prior written notice. This clause provides some flexibility for both parties but also introduces an element of uncertainty, as either party could choose to end the agreement with sufficient notice.
