What constitutes an 'Approved Supplier' for Baymont Inn Suites franchisees?

According to Baymont Inn Suites's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an Approved Supplier is defined as a vendor authorized by Baymont Inn Suites to provide proprietary or Mark-bearing items. It also includes vendors whose goods and services are deemed to meet the applicable System Standards set by Baymont Inn Suites.

This definition means that franchisees are required to purchase certain items, particularly those that are proprietary to the brand or bear the Baymont Inn Suites trademark, from suppliers that the franchisor has specifically approved. This ensures consistency and quality across all Baymont Inn Suites locations, maintaining brand standards.

If a franchisee chooses to purchase certain design items from a supplier other than an Approved Supplier, Baymont Inn Suites may charge a Custom Interior Design Review Fee, currently $6,000, for the review of custom interior design drawings to ensure compliance with interior design standards. Franchisees may purchase furniture, fixtures, equipment and other supplies that they may need during construction or renovation of the Facility through Baymont's affiliate, Worldwide Sourcing Solutions, Inc.'s "Approved Supplier" program.
