What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a developer enters into a Development Agreement for multiple Baya Bar outlets, they will only receive initial training for the first outlet. The developer waives any obligation for Baya Bar to provide additional training for subsequent outlets.
This waiver is based on the understanding that the initial training is sufficient for the developer to successfully construct, equip, open, and operate all of their Baya Bar locations within the designated Development Area. This means the franchisee is expected to leverage the knowledge and skills gained from the first training session to manage and operate any additional locations they open.
This arrangement could benefit franchisees who are experienced in managing multiple business units, as it reduces the time and potential costs associated with repeated training programs. However, it also places a greater responsibility on the franchisee to ensure consistent operations and quality across all locations without direct franchisor-led training for each new outlet. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider their ability to replicate the Baya Bar model effectively after the initial training.
