What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Baya Bar has the right to require franchisees to use an architect or designer that they designate. Franchisees are responsible for having site plans and build-out plans prepared, at their own expense, using Baya Bar's standard specifications and layouts for building and furnishing the shop.

This requirement gives Baya Bar control over the design and construction of each franchise location, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to their standards. While this may limit a franchisee's choice and potentially increase costs if the designated architect/designer is more expensive, it also ensures that the design meets Baya Bar's specifications and requirements.

Prospective franchisees should consider the potential costs associated with using Baya Bar's designated architect/designer and factor this into their overall investment. They may also want to inquire about the reasons for this requirement and whether there is any flexibility in the selection process.
