What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, standard specifications and layouts for building and furnishing the shop are provided to franchisees under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA). Specifically, Baya Bar will provide these specifications to multi-unit developers.
For franchisees entering into a standard Franchise Agreement, Baya Bar also provides standard specifications and layouts for building and furnishing the shop. The franchisee will use these specifications to prepare site plans and build-out plans at their own expense. Baya Bar retains the right to mandate the use of a designated architect/designer and to conduct inspections of the shop during construction.
These specifications are crucial for ensuring uniformity and adherence to the brand's standards across all Baya Bar locations. This helps maintain the quality, appearance, and service standards of the Baya Bar system. While franchisees are responsible for the costs associated with creating the site and build-out plans, the franchisor's specifications provide a necessary framework, ensuring consistency and potentially streamlining the construction process.
