What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must execute a general release of all claims against specific parties to be eligible for a Successor Franchise Agreement. This release covers Baya Bar Franchise Systems, LLC, along with its parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliates.
In addition to the main Baya Bar entity, the release extends to the organization's officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and employees. The release applies whether these individuals are acting in their corporate or individual capacities.
The scope of claims included in the release is broad, encompassing all claims arising under any federal, state, or local law, rule, or ordinance. This means a franchisee must waive all potential legal claims against the specified Baya Bar parties to qualify for a successor agreement.
