What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be subject to a "mystery shopper" quality control evaluation program. The fees for this program can be up to $150 and are due monthly.
This mystery shopper program is separate from Baya Bar's programs for customer surveys and customer satisfaction audits. The FDD states that franchisees may be required to accept coupons from participating customers for discounted or complimentary items as part of these separate programs.
Additionally, Baya Bar may conduct inspections or quality assurance audits that could lead to remedial training if deemed necessary. If such training is required, the franchisee is responsible for paying the then-current per diem rate per trainer, plus expenses. The current per diem rate is $600. The FDD does not specify how often regular quality assurance audits, separate from the mystery shopper program, are conducted.
