What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain commercial general liability insurance with specific coverage amounts. This insurance must include public liability, personal injury, advertising injury, and products liability coverage. The minimum requirement is $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate.
In addition to commercial general liability insurance, Baya Bar franchisees are also required to obtain other types of insurance. This includes worker's compensation coverage in the limits required by state law, employer's liability insurance of $100,000 per accident, fire, vandalism, and extended coverage insurance for property damage, business interruption insurance, and comprehensive automobile liability insurance of $1,000,000.
Baya Bar also requires that the franchisor, its officers, directors, partners, owners, employees, and affiliates are named as additional insureds on these policies. Franchisees must provide evidence of insurance to Baya Bar and maintain current certificates of insurance at all times. Baya Bar retains the right to increase the minimum insurance requirements or add additional types of insurance as deemed necessary.
