What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee understates their Gross Revenue two or more times, Baya Bar has grounds to terminate the Franchise Agreement. This is a significant point for prospective franchisees to understand, as accurate financial reporting is critical to maintaining the franchise.
Understating gross revenue typically involves reporting less income than actually earned, which can affect royalty payments owed to Baya Bar. Since royalties are often calculated as a percentage of gross revenue, underreporting can lead to a franchisee paying less than the agreed-upon amount. This clause in the agreement protects Baya Bar's financial interests and ensures that all franchisees contribute their fair share.
It is important for franchisees to maintain accurate and transparent financial records. Baya Bar can terminate the agreement if the franchisee understates gross revenue two or more times. Franchisees should ensure they have systems in place to accurately track and report all income to avoid potential conflicts with Baya Bar.
