What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Baya Bar has the right to inspect your Shop during construction. Specifically, Baya Bar will provide standard specifications and layouts for building and furnishing the Shop, which the franchisee will use to have site plans and build-out plans prepared at their own expense.
Baya Bar also has the right to require franchisees to use an architect/designer that they designate. This means that franchisees may not have complete autonomy over the design and construction of their Baya Bar location, as Baya Bar retains the right to ensure that the Shop aligns with their brand standards and specifications.
This inspection helps Baya Bar maintain uniformity and quality control across all franchise locations. For a prospective franchisee, this means adhering to Baya Bar's construction guidelines and potentially incurring costs for revisions if the initial plans do not meet their standards. Franchisees should factor in these potential costs and the time needed for approvals when planning the construction of their Baya Bar Shop.
