Before you lease or purchase the site for the Shop, you must locate a site that satisfies our site selection guidelines. If we deem it necessary we will conduct one onsite evaluation, but before we conduct the evaluation you must submit to us in the form we specify a description of the site, including evidence that the site satisfies our site selection guidelines, together with other information and materials that we may reasonably require, including a letter of intent or other evidence that confirms your favorable prospects for obtaining the site.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, before Baya Bar conducts an onsite evaluation of a potential location, the franchisee must submit specific information. This includes a description of the site, evidence that the site meets Baya Bar's site selection guidelines, and any other information or materials that Baya Bar may reasonably require. This submission must be in a format specified by Baya Bar. The franchisee must also provide a letter of intent or other evidence confirming favorable prospects for obtaining the site.

This requirement ensures that Baya Bar can adequately assess the suitability of the proposed location before committing resources to an onsite evaluation. By requiring franchisees to gather and submit detailed information upfront, Baya Bar aims to streamline the site selection process and minimize the risk of selecting unsuitable locations.

For a prospective Baya Bar franchisee, this means carefully documenting all aspects of the potential site and ensuring it aligns with Baya Bar's stated criteria. Gathering a letter of intent and preparing a comprehensive description of the site are crucial steps in securing franchisor approval. The franchisee should clarify with Baya Bar the specific format and any additional information required to avoid delays in the approval process. Failing to provide the required information may delay the site selection process, and franchisees must submit all required information regarding the proposed site no later than 90 days after signing the Franchise Agreement.
