What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Baya Bar Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain a sufficient supply of food, beverage, and other items that meet Baya Bar's standards and specifications. This requirement ensures that the quality and service at each Baya Bar location remain consistent. Franchisees must use and sell only those items that conform to the brand's standards. All menu items must be prepared according to the recipes and procedures outlined in the manual or other written materials provided by Baya Bar. Franchisees cannot deviate from these standards without prior written consent from Baya Bar.
Baya Bar retains the right to modify its standards and specifications as deemed necessary, and will notify franchisees of any changes in writing, such as through the manual or via email. To ensure compliance, Baya Bar or its agents may, during normal business hours, take samples of food and non-food items from the franchisee's inventory for testing. If a sample fails to meet the current standards and specifications, or if the supplier has not been previously approved, the franchisee may be required to cover the inspection fees and testing costs.
Baya Bar estimates that purchases from approved suppliers or those conforming to their specifications will account for approximately 54% to 60% of the franchisee's total initial purchases and 60% to 80% of ongoing operational purchases. This requirement helps Baya Bar maintain quality control and uniformity across all franchise locations. Prospective franchisees should carefully review the list of approved suppliers and products in the manual to understand the scope of these requirements and their potential impact on operational costs and supply chain management.
