What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain a sufficient supply of specific items to ensure quality and service standards are met. These items include food and beverage items, ingredients, products, materials, supplies, and paper goods that meet Baya Bar's standards and specifications. Franchisees are also required to use and sell these items at all times. All menu items must be prepared according to the recipes and procedures outlined in the manual or other written materials provided by Baya Bar.
Baya Bar emphasizes strict adherence to these standards, prohibiting any deviation through the use of non-conforming items or differing amounts of items without prior written consent. The company retains the right to modify these standards and specifications as deemed necessary, providing notice of any changes in the manual or other written communication. This ensures uniformity and quality across all Baya Bar locations.
To ensure compliance, Baya Bar or its agents may, during normal business hours, take samples of food or non-food items from the franchisee's inventory for testing. If the supplier of an item has not been previously approved or if the sample fails to meet Baya Bar's specifications, the franchisee may be required to cover the inspection fee and testing costs. This rigorous oversight helps maintain the brand's quality and consistency, but also places a responsibility on the franchisee to manage inventory and supplier relationships carefully.
