What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Baya Bar's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally prohibited from installing fixtures, furnishings, equipment, decor items, signs, games, vending machines, or other items that do not comply with Baya Bar's specifications. To install non-compliant items, a franchisee must first obtain written consent from Baya Bar. This requirement ensures uniformity and quality control across all Baya Bar locations.

Baya Bar maintains strict control over the standards and specifications of its shops, as detailed in its manual or other written communications. Franchisees must purchase or lease and install all required fixtures, furnishings, and equipment, including computer hardware, software, and point-of-sale systems, according to these standards. This extends to decor items and signs, all of which must conform to Baya Bar's specifications unless written consent is obtained to do otherwise.

This policy is typical in franchising, where maintaining brand consistency is crucial. Baya Bar's right to modify its standards and specifications as deemed necessary, with notice provided to franchisees, further underscores the importance of adhering to the franchisor's guidelines. Franchisees should be aware that failure to comply with these standards without prior written consent could result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
