What trademarks does Batteries Plus Bulbs own and license for operating the System?

According to the 2025 Batteries Plus Bulbs FDD, Batteries Plus, L.L.C. owns the Batteries Plus® trademark and other trademarks, domain names, service marks, logos, and commercial symbols, which are collectively referred to as the "Licensed Marks". These marks are used in the operation of the Batteries Plus Bulbs system.

Batteries Plus Bulbs grants franchisees the right to use these Licensed Marks to operate a Batteries Plus Bulbs store, provided they comply with the franchise agreement and the franchisor's standards. Franchisees acknowledge they have no ownership interest in the Licensed Marks and that all goodwill associated with their use benefits Batteries Plus Bulbs. Franchisees must use the Licensed Marks as the sole identification of their store, while also identifying themselves as the independent owner in a manner directed by Batteries Plus Bulbs.

Franchisees are restricted from using any Licensed Mark as part of their corporate or trade name or in any modified form, and they cannot use the Licensed Marks to sell unauthorized products or services. They must display the Licensed Marks prominently on all signs and forms as directed by Batteries Plus Bulbs. Batteries Plus Bulbs retains the sole right to advertise the system on the Internet and to control any website using the Licensed Marks.

Upon termination of the franchise agreement, the franchisee's right to use the Batteries Plus Bulbs name and other Licensed Marks immediately terminates. The franchisee must remove all signs and materials bearing the Licensed Marks; if they fail to do so, Batteries Plus Bulbs has the right to remove them at the franchisee's expense. These stipulations ensure that Batteries Plus Bulbs maintains control over its brand and protects its trademarks.
