What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Batteries Plus Bulbs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company may require certain personnel to attend supplemental and refresher training programs. This includes the franchisee themselves (or the Principal Owner if the franchisee is a business entity), any Store Manager, assistant Store Manager, Device Repair Technician, or other key individuals.

This additional training can be mandated by Batteries Plus Bulbs, or it can be requested by the franchisee. The FDD states that Batteries Plus Bulbs will determine the time and place of this additional training and may charge a reasonable fee for it.

This policy allows Batteries Plus Bulbs to ensure that franchisees and their staff stay up-to-date with the latest operational standards, product knowledge, and customer service techniques. For a prospective franchisee, this means being prepared to invest further in training beyond the initial program, both in terms of time and potential costs. It is important to factor in these potential ongoing training expenses when evaluating the overall financial commitment of a Batteries Plus Bulbs franchise.
