- (11) During the first calendar year (or portion thereof) following the brick and mortar Store opening date, you will have a Minimum Store Promotion Requirement equal to a pro rata amount of $20,000 based upon the number of weeks during the calendar year in which the Store was in operation. When the physical Store opens for retail sales, you will pay us $20,000 as your initial Minimum Store Promotion Requirement and we will apply those funds towards your Digital Marketing and Local Media Program contributions. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Batteries Plus Bulbs Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must meet a Minimum Store Promotion Requirement. During the first calendar year (or portion thereof) following the brick and mortar store opening, the franchisee's Minimum Store Promotion Requirement will be a pro rata amount of $20,000. This amount is based on the number of weeks the store was in operation during that calendar year.
When the physical Batteries Plus Bulbs store opens for retail sales, the franchisee will pay Batteries Plus Bulbs $20,000 as their initial Minimum Store Promotion Requirement. Batteries Plus Bulbs will then apply those funds towards the franchisee's Digital Marketing and Local Media Program contributions.
Once the initial $20,000 is exhausted, the franchisee will then be responsible for paying their Digital Marketing and Local Media Program contributions on a monthly basis. This ensures ongoing marketing efforts to support the new Batteries Plus Bulbs location.
