What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Batteries Plus Bulbs Franchise Disclosure Document, the Inventory Planning as a Service fee is due monthly. The current fee is $100 per month, but the FDD notes that this fee may increase up to 10% each calendar year.

Batteries Plus Bulbs requires all franchisees to participate in the Inventory Planning as a Service Program during the first 12 months of store operations in certain situations. These situations include a new store opening, a Franchise Agreement renewal, or a Franchise Agreement transfer (store sale), unless Batteries Plus Bulbs agrees to waive the requirement.

However, Batteries Plus Bulbs will waive the Inventory Planning as a Service fee for the first 6 months of store operations. This means that while participation in the program is mandatory in certain scenarios, franchisees will receive a 6-month grace period before needing to pay the $100 monthly fee. This could be a significant benefit for new franchisees as they begin operations.
