Each new Batteries Plus® franchisee must pay the NMF Fee. Other franchisees pay the same amount for the NMF Fee. In addition, each Batteries-owned Store will contribute to the NMF Fund on the same basis as franchisees.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Batteries Plus Bulbs Franchise Disclosure Document, all franchisees pay the same amount for the National Marketing Fund (NMF) Fee. Each new Batteries Plus Bulbs franchisee must pay the NMF Fee. Other franchisees pay the same amount for the NMF Fee. Batteries Plus Bulbs-owned stores also contribute to the NMF Fund on the same basis as franchisees.
The NMF Fee is a monthly fee of 1% of the store's Net Revenues. This fee is deposited into the NMF Fund, which Batteries Plus Bulbs manages through a separate account. The funds are used for national, regional, and local advertising, marketing, promotional, and public relations campaigns.
Batteries Plus Bulbs consults with its NMF Council when developing marketing strategies and allocating the use of NMF Fees. The NMF Council consists of 6 franchisees elected by the franchisee community, serving a 3-year term. The council provides advice on advertising, research, and promotional activities to Batteries Plus Bulbs and its outside advertising and marketing agencies.
