Finally, we may require or you may request that you (or the Principal Owner of a franchisee that is an entity), any Store Manager, any assistant Store Manager, Device Repair Technician or other key individuals attend supplemental and refresher training programs. In addition, if you default under the Franchise Agreement, we may require you to participate in Commercial as a Service or Inventory Planning as a Service for up to 12 months. We may determine the time and place of this additional training and may charge you a reasonable fee for the training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Batteries Plus Bulbs's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Batteries Plus Bulbs may charge franchisees a reasonable fee for supplemental and refresher training programs. These programs may be required by Batteries Plus Bulbs or requested by the franchisee (or the Principal Owner of a franchisee that is an entity), any Store Manager, any assistant Store Manager, Device Repair Technician or other key individuals. The franchisor determines the time and place of the additional training.
Additionally, if a franchisee defaults under the Franchise Agreement, Batteries Plus Bulbs may require participation in Commercial as a Service or Inventory Planning as a Service for up to 12 months, and may charge a reasonable fee for this training as well.
Batteries Plus Bulbs does not charge a fee for the initial start up, commercial sales effectiveness, key fob or device repair training programs, provided the franchisee successfully completes such programs. However, the franchisee is responsible for travel and living expenses incurred while attending these training programs. After the store opens, Batteries Plus Bulbs may charge a fee for additional training required for each new Store Manager.
