Is there an additional cost for the Bath Tune Up franchisee to use the data?
Bath_Tune_Up Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Throughout the Term of this Agreement, Franchisee will pay Franchisor, in advance, a monthly Technology Fee in the amount specified in the Manuals. The Technology Fee is applied towards the cost of operating, upgrading and supporting Franchisor's technology platforms including the BATH TUNE-UP® customer relations management software and any successor or replacement thereof. Because changes to technology are dynamic and not predictable within the Initial Term, and in order to provide for inevitable but unpredictable changes to technological needs and opportunities, the Technology Fee is subject to change from time to time. Payments of Technology Fee are not refundable.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a monthly Technology Fee throughout the term of the agreement. This fee covers the costs associated with operating, upgrading, and supporting Bath Tune Up's technology platforms, including the customer relations management software.
The Technology Fee is not fixed and is subject to change over time due to the dynamic nature of technology. This means that the amount a Bath Tune Up franchisee pays for technology could increase during the term of their agreement. These changes are intended to address unpredictable changes to technological needs and opportunities.
Payments for the Technology Fee are made in advance and are non-refundable. This is a common practice in franchising, where technology fees are used to maintain and improve the systems that support the franchise network. Franchisees should factor in the potential for increases in this fee when budgeting for their ongoing operational costs.
