Is the Bath Tune Up Technology Fee refundable?
Bath_Tune_Up Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Throughout the Term of this Agreement, Franchisee will pay Franchisor, in advance, a monthly Technology Fee in the amount specified in the Manuals. The Technology Fee is applied towards the cost of operating, upgrading and supporting Franchisor's technology platforms including the BATH TUNE-UP® customer relations management software and any successor or replacement thereof. Because changes to technology are dynamic and not predictable within the Initial Term, and in order to provide for inevitable but unpredictable changes to technological needs and opportunities, the Technology Fee is subject to change from time to time. Payments of Technology Fee are not refundable.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Technology Fee is not refundable. Throughout the term of the Franchise Agreement, franchisees must pay Bath Tune Up a monthly Technology Fee in advance.
The Technology Fee is used to cover the costs of operating, upgrading, and supporting Bath Tune Up's technology platforms, including the customer relations management software. The FDD states that because technology changes are dynamic and unpredictable, the Technology Fee is subject to change over time.
This means that a Bath Tune Up franchisee should consider the Technology Fee as a non-recoverable expense. Franchisees should factor this into their financial planning and be aware that the fee amount and the technology it covers may evolve during the term of their agreement.
