Answer from 2025 FDD Document

nd are located in a strip mall, or other commercial building.

    1. You must have a white vehicle with the approved BATH TUNE-UP® signage for each franchised business. We give you the artwork files for the signage. This is the estimated cost per vehicle. The white vehicle must be in unblemished condition. The vehicle must be continuously maintained and present a profession impression. Since we do not know if you already own a white vehicle or the manufacturer, model or condition of the vehicle you may be using, the low range assumes that you can affix the required signage to a white vehicle that you already own, which complies with our standards, or that you lease or place a down payment on a vehicle. The high range involves an estimate if you must purchase, or lease, a white vehicle, plus the cost to purchase and affix the signage, to comply with our standards. You should not purchase your vehicle for cash unless you will still have at least that same amount available as additional working capital to operate your business. From time to time your affiliation with HFC may allow for discounts on these vehicles

and our recommendation is to check with your Operations Manager before purchasing or leasing.

    1. We recommend additional tools and office supplies required for your franchised business. See Exhibit G for a complete list of recommended items.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, each franchise is required to have a white vehicle with approved Bath Tune Up signage. The franchisor provides the artwork files for the signage. The vehicle must be maintained in unblemished condition and present a professional image.

The estimated cost for the vehicle ranges from $7,000 to $40,000. This broad range accounts for whether a franchisee already owns a suitable white vehicle, chooses to lease, or needs to purchase one. The lower end of the estimate assumes the franchisee can use an existing vehicle that meets Bath Tune Up's standards or can lease a vehicle. The higher end covers the cost of purchasing a new or used white vehicle and adding the required signage.

Bath Tune Up advises franchisees not to deplete their working capital by purchasing a vehicle outright with cash if it leaves them with insufficient funds to operate the business. The FDD also mentions that franchisees may occasionally receive discounts on vehicles through Bath Tune Up's affiliations. The document recommends consulting with an Operations Manager before making a vehicle purchase or lease.
