Franchisee will pay to Franchisor an Initial Franchise Fee of $19,950. - The Initial Franchise Fee is discounted by 15% if you are a veteran, active service member or spouse of a veteran or active service member of the United States armed forces, as more particularly described in Item 5.
Unless the Initial Franchise Fee was waived under Section 4.1, immediately before the Operating Date, Franchisor will provide virtual training to two management representatives of Franchisee to educate, familiarize and acquaint Franchisee with the business of operating the Franchised Business. Franchisee must successfully complete the initial training program which includes virtual classroom and practical instruction regarding the technical aspects of operating the Franchised Business, basic business operating procedures, basic sales and marketing techniques and other topics selected by Franchisor from time to time ("Initial Training Program"). In addition, Franchisee must participate in and successfully complete Franchisor's "Four Week Pre-Training Program" and "Twelve Week Post-Training/Mentor Program" (collectively, with the Initial Training Program, "Training Programs") which reinforce and supplement the Initial Training Program.
At or immediately before Initial Training (unless the Initial Franchise Fee was waived under Section 4.1, Franchisor will provide Franchisee with the BATH TUNE-UP® Start-Up Package, comprised of those items enumerated in Schedule 3 to this Agreement.
What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is related to the start-up package and training programs. Specifically, the franchisee will pay an initial franchise fee, and in return, they will receive the Bath Tune Up Start-Up Package. This package is detailed in Schedule 3 of the franchise agreement. The initial franchise fee is paid as a lump sum when the franchise agreement is signed and is non-refundable. Furthermore, unless the initial franchise fee was waived, Bath Tune Up will provide virtual training to two of the franchisee's management representatives before the operating date.
The FDD also indicates an addendum that amends the initial franchise fee. The original fee of $19,950 is amended to $16,958. This fee is also payable upon signing the agreement and is non-refundable. The franchisee will still receive the Bath Tune Up Start-Up Package upon full payment of this amended initial franchise fee.
Additionally, the initial franchise fee may be discounted by 15% for veterans, active service members, or their spouses. This discount is further described in Item 5 of the FDD. This discount does not appear to be automatically applied, so prospective franchisees who qualify should confirm the process for claiming the discount with Bath Tune Up.
