Does Bath Tune Up provide a CRM and operations software?

Bath_Tune_Up Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Throughout the Term of this Agreement, Franchisee will pay Franchisor, in advance, a monthly Technology Fee in the amount specified in the Manuals. The Technology Fee is applied towards the cost of operating, upgrading and supporting Franchisor's technology platforms including the BATH TUNE-UP® customer relations management software and any successor or replacement thereof. Because changes to technology are dynamic and not predictable within the Initial Term, and in order to provide for inevitable but unpredictable changes to technological needs and opportunities, the Technology Fee is subject to change from time to time. Payments of Technology Fee are not refundable.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bath Tune Up FDD, franchisees are required to pay a monthly Technology Fee throughout the term of the agreement. This fee covers the costs associated with operating, upgrading, and supporting Bath Tune Up's technology platforms, explicitly including the customer relations management (CRM) software. The FDD also states that the Technology Fee is subject to change due to the dynamic nature of technology.

This means that Bath Tune Up franchisees will have access to a CRM system provided by the franchisor, which is intended to help manage customer interactions and streamline business operations. The fee ensures that the CRM and other technology platforms are maintained and improved over time.

However, franchisees should be aware that the Technology Fee can change, potentially increasing the cost of operations. It is important for prospective franchisees to inquire about the typical range of these fees and how often they have been adjusted in the past to better understand the potential financial implications. Additionally, the FDD mentions the 'Manuals' which are made available on the franchisor's electronic portal, suggesting that operational procedures and software usage guidelines will be documented there.
