Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You may operate your franchised business out of your home. If you operate out of your home, you must begin operating your franchised business within 30 days from the date you complete initial training. If you choose, you may secure office/warehouse space for your franchised business. We do not provide any assistance to you in the selection of an office/warehouse site, nor do we own the site and lease it to you. There is no time limit for you to find your site. You do not need our approval of your site, as long as it is in your territory.

You do not have to establish a showroom site, but if you are approved to do so, it must be located within the territory, you must ensure that the showroom complies with our written specifications and other requirements as set forth in the Manuals, you must obtain our prior written approval and you must enter into our then-current showroom addendum. We do not help you select a showroom site. We will have 14 days within which to indicate our approval or disapproval of a showroom site. We will require that the showroom be located at least one mile within the borders of your territory.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have the option to operate their business from home or secure an office/warehouse space. However, Bath Tune Up does not provide any assistance in selecting an office/warehouse site. The FDD states that franchisees do not need approval of their site as long as it is within their territory.

Similarly, if a franchisee chooses to establish a showroom, Bath Tune Up does not assist in selecting the showroom site. The franchisee must ensure the showroom complies with Bath Tune Up's written specifications and other requirements as set forth in the manuals, and they must obtain prior written approval from Bath Tune Up and enter into their then-current showroom addendum. Bath Tune Up will have 14 days to indicate approval or disapproval of a showroom site and requires that the showroom be located at least one mile within the borders of the franchisee's territory.

For a prospective Bath Tune Up franchisee, this means they are solely responsible for finding and securing a suitable location for their office/warehouse or showroom, if they choose to have one. This also means that the franchisee will need to factor in the time and resources required for site selection into their business plan. It is important to note that while Bath Tune Up does not assist in site selection, they do require compliance with their specifications for showrooms and approval of the showroom site.
