How often will a Bath Tune Up franchisee pay the Technology Fee?

Bath_Tune_Up Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Throughout the Term of this Agreement, Franchisee will pay Franchisor, in advance, a monthly Technology Fee in the amount specified in the Manuals. The Technology Fee is applied towards the cost of operating, upgrading and supporting Franchisor's technology platforms including the BATH TUNE-UP® customer relations management software and any successor or replacement thereof. Because changes to technology are dynamic and not predictable within the Initial Term, and in order to provide for inevitable but unpredictable changes to technological needs and opportunities, the Technology Fee is subject to change from time to time. Payments of Technology Fee are not refundable.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a Technology Fee on a monthly basis. This fee is paid in advance throughout the term of the Franchise Agreement. The amount of the Technology Fee is specified in the Manuals.

The Technology Fee is used by Bath Tune Up to cover the costs of operating, upgrading, and supporting its technology platforms. This includes the BATH TUNE-UP® customer relations management software and any replacements or successors to it.

It's important to note that the Technology Fee is subject to change due to the dynamic and unpredictable nature of technology. These payments are also non-refundable, so franchisees should factor potential increases into their financial planning. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as technology needs evolve and franchisors need to maintain up-to-date systems.
