What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses to establish a showroom, Bath Tune Up has 14 days to indicate their approval or disapproval of the proposed site. The FDD specifies that while establishing a showroom is not mandatory, if a franchisee is approved to do so, the showroom must be located within the designated territory and comply with Bath Tune Up's written specifications and other requirements detailed in the manuals.
It's important to note that Bath Tune Up does not assist franchisees in selecting a showroom site. Additionally, the showroom must be located at least one mile within the borders of the franchisee's territory. This requirement ensures that the showroom is properly situated within the area granted to the franchisee, potentially maximizing its visibility and accessibility to the target market.
Prospective franchisees should be aware of these stipulations when considering whether to establish a showroom. The 14-day approval period provides a relatively quick turnaround for site approval, allowing franchisees to move forward with their plans in a timely manner, assuming they meet all the necessary criteria. However, the franchisee bears the responsibility of finding a suitable location and ensuring it meets Bath Tune Up's standards, as the franchisor offers no direct assistance in site selection.
