What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must purchase or lease a motor vehicle (or a motor vehicle and enclosed trailer) at their own expense at any time after the effective date of the franchise agreement, but before the operating date. This vehicle must meet Bath Tune Up's standards as detailed in their manuals.
The franchisee is also responsible for affixing Bath Tune Up's approved vehicle signage to the vehicle according to the franchisor's specifications, also found in the manuals, and providing a photograph of the fully wrapped vehicle. Any later changes to the logo on the vehicle will be at the franchisee's expense.
Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for all operating and other expenses related to the vehicle. They must also provide Bath Tune Up with a copy of the bill of sale or lease within ten days of purchasing or leasing the vehicle. The franchisee must maintain comprehensive liability insurance that meets the specifications in the manuals, naming Bath Tune Up as an additional insured. This insurance requirement remains in effect as long as the franchisee uses the vehicle for business under Bath Tune Up's name. If the franchise agreement is terminated, the franchisee must immediately remove Bath Tune Up's name and logo from the vehicle and stop using them.
