What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bath Tune Up's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a 'Vehicle' is defined as a motor vehicle or a motor vehicle and enclosed trailer that meets the franchisor's standards, as detailed in the manuals. This vehicle is essential for operating the Bath Tune Up franchised business.
Before the operating date, franchisees must purchase or lease a vehicle that meets Bath Tune Up's standards. The franchisee is responsible for all costs associated with acquiring and maintaining the vehicle. This includes affixing the franchisor's approved vehicle signage according to the specifications in the manuals and providing a photograph of the fully wrapped vehicle to Bath Tune Up.
Bath Tune Up franchisees must provide a copy of the vehicle's bill of sale or lease to the franchisor within ten days of purchase or lease. Additionally, franchisees must maintain comprehensive liability insurance that meets the specifications outlined in the manuals, with Bath Tune Up named as an additional insured. This insurance requirement remains in effect as long as the vehicle is used for business under the Bath Tune Up name.
Upon termination of the franchise agreement, the franchisee is obligated to immediately remove all Bath Tune Up names, logos, and marks from the vehicle and cease any further use of these identifiers. This ensures that the Bath Tune Up brand is protected and that there is no continued association after the franchise agreement ends.
