your rights under this Agreement. Without our written consent, you may not use the Franchised Location for any purpose other than the operation of a Basecamp Fitness studio.
2. TERM; RENEWAL RIGHTS
- A. Initial Term. The term of this Agreement is for six (6) years commencing on the Effective Date of this Agreement, unless terminated earlier as provided in this Agreement.
- B. Renewal. You have the right to renew your Basecamp Fitness franchise for the Franchised Location for an additional five (5) year term, provided you meet all of the following conditions:

- you have given us written notice at least two hundred ten (210) days prior to the end of the then current term of this Agreement of your desire to renew;

- you and all entities you are a member, partner or shareholder of, are in compliance with all agreements between you and us and between you and our affiliates, and there has been no series of defaults by you thereunder (i.e., an abnormal frequency of defaults or a default that has occurred repeatedly, or a combination thereof), whether or not such defaults were cured;

- you make, or provide for in a manner satisfactory to us, such renovation and reequipping of your Basecamp Studio as we dee

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must provide written notice to Basecamp Fitness at least 210 days before the end of their current franchise term if they wish to renew their franchise agreement. The initial term of the agreement is six years, with a renewal option for an additional five years.
In addition to providing timely written notice, the franchisee must also meet several other conditions to be eligible for renewal. These conditions include being in full compliance with all agreements with Basecamp Fitness and its affiliates, completing any required renovations or re-equipping of the Basecamp Studio to meet current brand standards, and paying a renewal fee of $5,000 at least 15 days before the initial term expires.
Failure to meet any of these conditions, including the written notice deadline, could result in Basecamp Fitness having the right to operate or license another party to operate a Basecamp Fitness studio within the franchisee's protected territory. In such a scenario, Basecamp Fitness or the new operator would also have the right to solicit the existing members and customers of the non-renewing franchisee's studio.
