ference Fee following the Conference. The conferences may be held at various locations that we will designate. (Franchise Agreement - Section 8).

Vitals Training

During the time you operate your Basecamp Studio, there may be additional training that we require you to attend in order to stay current on the policies, procedures, and techniques of operating a Basecamp studio. These programs are intended to maximize the profitability of your business. In the years that we do not offer a Conference, you must send a representative to a "Vitals" program, if offered. The program typically includes 1 to 5 days of training in the following areas: marketing, client engagement, member service, and other topics that we designate from time to time. This training will be conducted in a virtual format or at a location we designate, at our discretion. We offer this training generally every other year in those years in which we do not have a Conference scheduled. The training cost is $350 plus our costs to conduct the training. If applicable, you are responsible for all costs you and your personnel incur in attending these programs.

Continuing Engagement Credits

Each calendar year, your Basecamp Studio must obtain at least 1,200 continuing engagement credits within our System. The credits are not tied to hours, but to specific events or participation you have in our System.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, additional training may be required to keep franchisees current with the policies, procedures, and techniques for operating a Basecamp Fitness studio. These programs are designed to maximize the profitability of the business. In years when a conference is not offered, a franchisee must send a representative to a "Vitals" program, if offered, which typically includes 1 to 5 days of training in areas such as marketing, client engagement, and member service. This training may be conducted virtually or at a designated location. The cost for the "Vitals" training is $350 plus the franchisor's costs to conduct the training, and the franchisee is responsible for all costs incurred by themselves and their personnel to attend these programs.

Basecamp Fitness also requires each studio to obtain at least 1,200 continuing engagement credits within their system each calendar year. These credits are tied to specific events or participation within the Basecamp Fitness system, rather than to hours spent. There are no additional fees for receiving these continuing engagement credits or taking additional training to earn them.

This means that as a Basecamp Fitness franchisee, you should anticipate ongoing training requirements to stay updated with the brand's operational standards and to enhance your studio's performance. Budgeting for the "Vitals" program and actively participating in the continuing engagement credit system are essential for maintaining compliance and maximizing your studio's potential profitability. Failing to participate in required training programs or not meeting the continuing engagement credit requirements could potentially impact your franchise agreement.
