What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Relaunch Training is generally optional for franchisees who already operate a Basecamp Fitness studio. However, it becomes mandatory if the studio does not achieve its 6-month opening membership targets or is not on track to meet those targets.
The Relaunch Training program is designed to provide additional training in studio operations and coaching. It is a 1-2 day course conducted virtually, at the franchisee's studio, or at a location designated by Basecamp Fitness. The cost of this training is currently $4,500, which is nonrefundable and must be paid before the training session.
This conditionality is important for prospective franchisees to consider. If a Basecamp Fitness studio struggles to meet its initial membership goals, the franchisee will be required to invest an additional $4,500 in Relaunch Training. This highlights the importance of effective pre-opening sales and marketing efforts, as well as strong operational execution from the outset, to avoid the mandatory training and associated costs.
