What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, each Basecamp Fitness studio that contributes to an advertising cooperative has one vote on matters involving the cooperative's activities. However, these cooperatives cannot produce or use any advertising, marketing, or promotional plans that have not been approved by Basecamp Fitness.
These cooperatives are established in market areas where two or more Basecamp Fitness studios operate. If a cooperative is established in a franchisee's area, or if one already exists when they become a franchisee, participation and contribution to the cooperative are mandatory. The contribution amount, determined when the cooperative is established, will not exceed 2% of the studio's monthly Gross Revenue, and all franchisees and company-owned studios in the market area will contribute at the same rate.
The advertising cooperatives operate under written governing documents and prepare annual financial statements available for review by participating franchisees upon request. Basecamp Fitness retains the right to change, dissolve, or merge any cooperative at any time, maintaining significant control over these local advertising efforts.
