What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Basecamp Fitness retains the right to choose whether or not to award a franchise to any prospective franchisee. This decision is at their sole discretion.
Basecamp Fitness can also cease discussions regarding awarding a franchise at any point in the process. This right applies regardless of how far along the franchise award process is or how much time and money the prospective franchisee has already invested.
This clause is common in franchise agreements, allowing franchisors to maintain control over their brand and ensure that franchisees meet their standards. Prospective franchisees should be aware that Basecamp Fitness is not obligated to award a franchise, even after significant investment of time and money on the franchisee's part.
