What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for obtaining all permits and licenses required for the Basecamp Fitness studio's signs. The franchisee must also ensure that all signs comply with all applicable laws and ordinances.
Basecamp Fitness requires franchisees to prominently display signs, at their own expense, both inside and outside the studio. These signs must adhere to the form, color, number, location, and size designated by Basecamp Fitness, and may include illuminated signs. The franchisee cannot display any sign or advertising that Basecamp Fitness objects to.
This requirement places the onus on the franchisee to navigate local regulations and secure the necessary approvals for signage. Failing to obtain the required permits and licenses could result in fines, legal issues, or the forced removal of non-compliant signs. Therefore, prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisees should carefully research local signage ordinances and budget for the costs associated with permits, licenses, and compliance.
