What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Basecamp Fitness Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with constructing the Basecamp Fitness studio. If the franchisee does not use Basecamp Fitness's designated architectural vendor for the creation of the Construction Documents, the franchisee will pay a nonrefundable fee of $2,700 to review the Construction Documents. The vendor the franchisee uses must meet any standards and specifications Basecamp Fitness requires.
Basecamp Fitness also requires franchisees to purchase a Build-Out Package, which includes signage, marketing materials, furniture, and fixtures, from them or approved third-party vendors. Additionally, franchisees must purchase a Technology & Fitness Equipment Package from Basecamp Fitness's affiliate, which includes fitness equipment, technology services, network hardware, security systems, computer hardware and software, lighting, audio and video systems, and other related components, including a point of sale system and certain cloud-based technology.
These requirements ensure that all Basecamp Fitness studios maintain a consistent brand image and operational standards. However, they also represent a significant investment for the franchisee. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these costs and requirements when evaluating the Basecamp Fitness franchise opportunity.
