What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Basecamp Fitness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the costs of signs for their studio. The franchisee must prominently display signs, both inside and outside the Basecamp Studio, that conform to Basecamp Fitness's specifications regarding form, color, number, location, size, and the use of their Marks. Basecamp Fitness may also require the franchisee to use illuminated signs.
This means that a prospective Basecamp Fitness franchisee will need to budget for the costs of signage as part of their initial investment. These costs include not only the signs themselves but also any permits and licenses required for their installation. The franchisee is also responsible for ensuring that the signs comply with all applicable laws and ordinances.
Basecamp Fitness retains control over the appearance of the signs, and the franchisee cannot display any sign or advertising that Basecamp Fitness objects to. This level of control is typical in franchising, as it helps to maintain brand consistency across all locations. The franchisee needs to factor in these requirements and restrictions when planning their studio's signage.
